Welcome to Lazza Marrickville

General Info

Tucked along Marrickville Road, Lazza Marrickville is one of those places that instantly feels warm and welcoming the moment you step in. The vibe is relaxed, the setup is simple, and the focus is clearly on serving authentic Filipino flavors that keep people coming back. Whether you’re dropping by for dinner or catching up with friends over good food and Wi-Fi, it strikes a nice balance between casual dining and a cozy hangout.

The menu is where things really shine. If you’re new, the Pork Sisig is a must-try-it’s sizzling, packed with bold flavor, and has just the right mix of crispy and juicy textures. Pair that with Lumpia Shanghai, which comes out golden and crunchy, and you’ve got a great start. The dishes feel thoughtfully prepared, not overly complicated, but rich in taste and character. It’s the kind of food that reminds you why Filipino cuisine is so loved.

For something refreshing, Halo Halo is a standout. It’s colorful, layered, and perfect after a savory meal. Meanwhile, the Turon with Ube Ice Cream adds a sweet finish that feels both comforting and indulgent. The contrast between the crispy banana roll and the creamy ube ice cream makes it memorable. If you’re dining in the evening, grabbing a Red Horse Beer 8 Wow alongside your meal adds that extra bit of authenticity to the experience.

Service-wise, things are smooth and straightforward. Payments are easy with debit cards and credit cards accepted, which is always convenient. The staff keeps things moving without making you feel rushed, and there’s a friendly, down-to-earth energy that makes the whole visit feel genuine.

What stands out most about this location is how approachable it feels. It’s not trying too hard, and that’s exactly why it works. The reviews you’ll hear from regulars often mention consistency-good portions, reliable flavors, and a menu that delivers every time. Whether you’re exploring Filipino food for the first time or just craving something familiar, this spot fits naturally into Marrickville’s diverse dining scene.

“ My partner and I never had a bad experience here. Consistently delicious food and fantastic service. They have the best crispy sisig in Sydney! I also loved their bangus, it was cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to be back. ”

“ Absolutely Outstanding Filipino Cuisine! Nothing beats the authentic flavour that Lazza Restaurant brings to the table. It’s hands down the best Filipino restaurant in Sydney! My personal favourites are the crispy pork sisig served on a sizzling plate and their legendary crispy pata—both are packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The ambience is warm and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Lazza is worth more than 5 stars—from the food, to the vibe, to the service. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Filipino comfort food! ???????? ”

“ Had Boodle fight w a big group. Enjoyed the food, also had another big group in the restaurant who got up to sing karaoke. Fun atmosphere, but can be a little noisy if people are wanting to converse. Highly recommend the sisig. ”

“ Warm and welcoming place, with a traditional Filipino festive touch, great food, quality service at a very affordable price in Sydney. If I’m local, easy, this would be my fave spot to be closer to home at heart. Highly recommended! They have live band on Fridays and weekends, plus if you and your friends have not experienced Filipino Budol fight way of enjoying and sharing a Filipino meal by hands, Lazza has them for you too! ”

“ I always get the crispy pork sisig - it’s amazing! Great paired with garlic rice. I’ve also tried the chicken as well as bangus sisig which were also good. I usually get the pinakbet for vegetables. The kare kare was just okay though, the sauce can be thicker and richer in peanut butter sauce :) The turon with ube ice cream is always on point to round off the meal. The menu hasn’t changed much which can be good for consistency but would be even better if they can mix it up a bit with new dishes. ”

“ A lovely filipino restaurant in Marrickville. Been here a few times and I have found the food to be quite good. Had the pork sisig which was good as I thought they may put more fat than pork meat but glad it was nearly all pork meat. Pork BBQ and the Lechon kuwali were tasty. The Kare Kare was presented well but was quite bland as we had to ask for more shrimp paste to add flavour. The halo halo dessert was generous in size and can feed two. My favourite was their Turon (Fried banana) with the ube ice cream. Perfectly crispy without skimping on the banana. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Some improvements :- We were disappointed one evening, on a Friday night with a 6pm sitting, and they ran out of turon for dessert. Very disappointed that they did not cater for a busy evening. I also do hope their toilet facilities have been fixed as we were surprised that the toilet plumbing wasnt completely functioning. Please do not advertise that there is live entertainment on Fridays when there has never been any entertainment, the 3 times we have eaten there on a Friday evening. The live entertainment was a reason we chose Friday instead of a different evening. Overall, a lovely, quaint and charming filipino restaurant. ”
